The Power of Crying Out

I am a real dog lover.
From them I've learned a lot about life. Friendship, loyalty, love, cheerfulness, happiness, even a new way of thinking and seeing something!

You may have known that dogs are loyal. There's no doubt about it. But more of it, I like the way they see everything around them. Dog lives in the present. They enjoy anything around them, without ever get worried about tomorrows. If you take your dog for a walk, you'll see that they are interested for everything. They like to smell the flowers, they like to investigate, they'll chase whatever gets their attention, the follow their instinct, they really live in the present!

Especially puppies. Puppies will take anything they've got as their toys. Anything. Whether it a comb, brush, pillow, tie, blanket, pencil, old newspaper, anything in this world are indeed a puppy's toys! We have a puppy here who likes to bite everything, including our hands and feet! It's waste to tidy up the room if you get your puppy there, because they'll easily find a way or two to screw it up again!

Like I say above, or if you read my posts before, you'll know that we found a puppy that we care for eventually. Her name is Velve. (I named her after the Spanish term 'vuelve' that means return, cause she has returned my cheerfulness -smile-). Oh my, I can't imagine a naughtier puppy than this one. Even my mom has sooo many scars because of her biting and nails' scratches on her hand. Oughh, sometime I feel that I want to put this tiny monster down, but every time I look at her face, I'll always feel a deep sympathetic. I love her so much, no matter how naughty she is.

Couple days ago, she cried out loudly. By hearing that, I immediately jumped out of my bed, ran to her and found out why did she scream like that. And I got my mom stood behind her, told me that she tried to 'escape' when my mom hold her with her hand (My mom got stroke so her left hand has been immovable), cause she wanted to open the door for somebody was there. It's too risky to let the puppy runs outside the house. And the result was, she fell down and got pain. My mom was incapable to handle her because of her 'actions' that were too much.

I realized that I always run out to get my dog anytime they cry. Sometime they cry for an uncomfortable situation, but other time, they cry for an unimportant thing because of their stupidities. But still, I'll get them immediately by hearing their screaming.

I assumed this experience with God. He can't help hearing our crying. I'm really sure that. What I dealt with dogs, I believe God will do likewise. He hurts when His people get hurt. He can't wait for answering our prayer, but sometime He delays. I know that He must have reasons for that. He won't do it incoincidently. History has proved it. Whenever God made a delay, He was doing a miracle. As time goes by, I started to see it in my life. The longer He delays, the bigger the miracle.

When Abram got his son, for example. Can you see the miracle there? A son from a 90 years conceived mother? Or when Jesus delayed to come to Bethany, when Lazarus was sick. What He did then? He raised him from the death! It wasn't enough for Him just to heal him. It was too ordinary. (But they needed something more hurt and bad in their circumstance to receive the miracle). If you are dealing with delaying, just believe that God's preparing a great thing for you. He'll reveal it when the time comes. He's keeping the answer till you're ready for that. So, get prepared for His surprise. He wants us to know Him in a new and better way than what we have known about Him.. Never be enough if it comes to knowing Him. We need to know Him more and more and more through our experiences..

Oh, please, I can't be preaching here :). Just want to share my experience. If my dog cries, I'll immediately get it, wherever it is. I'll never delay even a second to get 'em. I can imagine how's my God reaction if He deals with the same problem. He'll jump over to get you, my friend. So, don't be ashamed. Keep crying till your prayers get answered..

Disturb Us, Lord

Disturb us, O Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves;

Let Prayer Change Your Life

Well, today isn't one of my best day. Yet, I try to give thanks to God for what He has done for me. I read Becky Tirabassi's book Let Prayer Change Your Life this evening and got inspired.
She wrote that God can do anything much more than what we can think or imagine. Even, she challenged me to be dare to pray something big in order that God will manifest His glory through all the thing I'm praying.

Yeah, I often suppose that praying is just an obligation, not a nice or wonderful thing to do. Even, it would never become number 1 in my priority list until I read this book. Becky has brought me a new horizon I've never thought about. Now, my way of thinking has changed and I thank God for this book.

I ain't perfect yet and I'm not a good prayer. So often, I pass my quiet times, but through all the testimonies she wrote in her book, Mrs Tirabassi has encouraged me to develop a deeper relationship with God and raise up my faith again in Him.

Have you already read this book? Try it. Read it, and practice the idea within the book, so as I tell you, you'll never be the same. The experience of constant prayer will increase your faith and grow a closeness with God. I hope we all can see all the wondrous and marvelous thing of God that -I believe- are beyond our expectations..

When We Feel Helpless

Have you ever felt totally helpless? Can you remember facing a situation or emergency in which you were powerless? It's a sobering experience for anyone. Even people who claim to be wholly dependent on God, still like to feel as if they have some control over their circumstances.

When we feel helpless, the first word out of our mouth should be "Father." From then on, helplessness isn't an issue, because God will provide what we need.

5 Finger Prayer

This was a message I got from my friend on Christian Women Connected.

Had ever heard before, but so refreshing
to remind it.
Just wanna share this with all of you!

This is beautiful - and it is surely worth
making the 5 finger prayer a
part  of our lives.

 1. Your thumb
--- is nearest you. So begin your prayers
by praying for those closest to you.
They are the easiest to remember.
To pray for our loved ones is,
as C. S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty."

 2. The next finger
--- is the pointing finger.
Pray for those who teach, instruct and heal. This  includes teachers,
doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in  pointing others
in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

 3. The next finger
--- is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the
president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators.
These people  shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's
guidance.

 4. The fourth finger
--- is our ring finger. Surprising to many is the fact that this is
our  weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind
us to  pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need
your prayers  day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

 5. And lastly comes our little finger
--- the smallest finger of all which is where we should place
ourselves in  relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall
be the  greatest among you." Your pinkie should remind you to pray for
yourself.

 By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own
needs will be  put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray
for yourself more  effectively. 

Ministry Ideas: Write A Prayer For A Friend

“I’m praying for you.”

How often have we said those four words? Christians routinely promise to pray for others. And such a promise, whether deeply felt or not, is always a wonderful gift. How encouraging it is to be going through a hard time and have someone who loves you say, “I’m praying for you.”

This was article written by Ray Pritchard that I read from Crosswalks.com. I realized that it was such a great idea. Since these days were busy days, it seemed that we couldn't save times for praying for other people. (Oh, how could? Even we have no much time for praying for our selves!). But I still believe that prayers have power. Although we haven't seen the result, we should believe in faith, that our prayers work.

These are very interesting verses from James 5 (NIV)

17. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.
18. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

Elijah was a man just like us. But when he prayed earnestly, God did exactly liked what he prayed for. It lead me to a conclusion that God listens and answers every prayer we lift up to Him. Don't ever think that we have to be somebody for our prayer to be answered. What Elijah prayed for was something absurd, I think, but God did answered the way he asked for.

I believe, if Bible wrote that Elijah was a man just like us, so we don't have to be 'somebody' to come to Him and ask for something important. All it takes is just our faith. God is as close as our prayer, isn't He?

Praying for a friend also brings us toward 2 important things: closeness to God and being a blessings from other.

I encourage you to do the same thing. Write a prayer for a friend. Don’t just say, “I’ll be praying for you.” Write out your prayer and send it to them. It doesn’t have to be long or fancy. A sentence or two is fine. Just write from your heart what you are praying to the Lord.

Write it and send it. A written prayer is a wonderful gift to those you love.

I got this heartfelt prayer from My Circle Prayer friend. And I feel honored. How could a friend we never know face to face ever show the love like that?
I thank God for His gift I received through her.
It just proved me that we can change the world through messages and prayers we spread around the world. Let's make peace, not war!!

Why Does God Not Answer Me?

Ever been trapped in a situation seemed you can't run anywhere?
You've been prayed for months, even years, but days gone without any solution came. Then you think 'Does God exist? If the answer is yes, why then He doesn't answer me? For how longer He'll let me be in this situation?' ... and many other questions.

Yeah, I've just found this interesting article from ezinearticles.com. I think it was a simple but really useful for me. At least, I become understand about what should to do whenever my question hasn't been answered yet.

Probably all Christians go through times when it seems like their prayers are not answered. However, if you pray with the right motives yet receive no answer, it does not mean that God is ignoring you. He might be answering in a way you never expected.

One of the biggest reasons why Christians give up on prayer is because they feel that their prayers are not getting answered or that God does not care about them. This feeling of helplessness is even more pronounced when the Christian is going through a life crisis and has nowhere to turn and cannot seem to find answers. God cares about you. But many Christians view God as someone where if you push the right buttons you will get your reward-kind of like a microwave. Yet the truth is that we don't know what lies ahead like God knows what lies ahead. What seems to be an unanswered prayer can actually be God's perfect plan for us.

Take Job in the Old Testament for instance. If anyone had what seemed to be an unanswered prayer, it was Job. Yet little did Job know that Satan was accusing him of only serving God because God had placed a protective hedge around him. Job was put to the test and he passed it and in the end pleased God-so much so that he was rewarded greatly for it. In fact, in Job 42:12 (NIV) it says that, "The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first."

Then there was Elijah. God was faithful to bring down fire from heaven in response to his prayer. Yet a short time later his prayer to God was to take his life as Jezebel was after him (1 Kings 19). God knew what Elijah needed and it was rest. So God sent an angel to minister to Elijah, feed him, and make sure he got some rest. Elijah prayed for God's deliverance and it came but not in the way Elijah was asking for it.

It's actually a matter of childlike trust in God. We should pray and leave it in God's hands at that point. It is not something we did or failed to do that influences God and His answers to our prayer. If we pray for a million dollars, this is a lustful prayer and God probably will not grant it. But if we pray for God's will to be done and just leave it at that point then that is all we can do. We have to lean on His promises and remember that God cares for us. In Matthew 6:33 (NIV) we are told, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Submit your prayer to God and worry about it no further.
