What Greatness Means?
Oh, reading this devotion seems to look at the mirror and look at who I was. This really talks about who I used to be! (Hey, I'm not ashamed to admit it, I've changed now.. :) ).
Here's the reflection..
We long to be first, to be the center of attention, to have control (oh, sounds familiar?). We hate to admit it, but we can struggle with insecurity and jealousy and sometimes become threatened when others succeed. We find secret satisfaction when our rival fails. We yearn for significance, to accomplish something great.
But Jesus redirects our earthly rationale by teaching us that being great means serving, choosing to be second, stepping out of the limelight so someone else can shine. We are on our way to greatness in God's perspective when we roll up our sleeves and offer our gifts wherever they are needed (see Mark 10:42-45).

This is why I always like devotions. It seems like having a friend who can remind you, puts the mirror in front of your face and asks you to see yourself there. Especially if they bring you the truth and the wisdom of The Bible... Thank God for all devotions I've ever received!
