TSMS - My Tribute by Israel Houghton & The Lakewood Church

This Saturday I want to post this song: My Tribute from Israel Houghton. I love this song. My mom used to sing this song for many, many times in certain moments when I was little, so that's why I was curious about this one.

Maybe gratitude is something we have to keep up in this hectic life. I almost regret my life for many things. My circumstances, my daily activities, my surrounding, almost anything about me was wrong on my eyes. So that's why I wanna post this song for shared with you.

I just pray that The Lord will always be patient with me. I'm a little bit slow in my spirituality progress. Oh, I hate to admit it! But thank God He always there, waits for my readiness to step up to a higher level in my development stage.

Oh, can you sing this song with me?

The part of the lyric that has resonated with me was
Just let me live my life,
Let it be pleasing, Lord, to Thee,
And if I gain any praise,
Let it go to Calvary

Amen!
To God be the glory forever and ever in my life..

PS: hey, don't be wondered if you see Joel Osteen promotes Mr. Houghton's CD on the end of this video. I couldn't find the better video on YouTube.. :).

Happy Saturday, everyone!

Build on The Rock

This is a devotional from Zondervan.
Isn't it reminding you of something?

"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? As for those who come to me and hear my words and put them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But those who hear my words and do not put them into practice are like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete" (Luke 6:46–49).

You Are Not Accident

This is such an awesome poem by Russel Kelfer..

You are who you are for a reason.

You're part of an intricate plan.
You're a precious and perfect unique design,
Called God's special woman or man.

You look like you look for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together within the womb,
You're just what he wanted to make.

The parents you had were the ones he chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with God's plan in mind,
And they bear the Master's seal.

No, that trauma you faced was not easy.
And God wept that it hurt you so;
But it was allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you'd grow.

You are who you are for a reason,
You've been formed by the Master's rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because there is a God!"

Superwoman by Alicia Keys

I love Alicia Keys. Oh, don't ask me why. I just love her. Her song lyrics always have such a deep meaningful feeling. They also have become 'something' to me.

This song, Superwoman, has inspired and encouraged me to realize something. As women, sometime all we gotta do is searching the best part of us. In facing all the duties, the jobs and all the responsibilities (or, maybe including the burdens, the sorrows, the pains etc), we still can stand up and searching the better part of us and find the strength in us.

Oh, don't forget to recognize the power you have within yourself!

Here's Alicia sang Superwomen (Live at Regis & Kelly I found in YouTube).

(Ohh.. let's say yes, I will. Yes, I can!).

His Very Best

Here's another devotional from Zondervan I supposed to post here, because it's very true and resonated with me ..

It seems the entire world is searching for happiness, love, and fulfillment. Yet so many of us search for these things everywhere except where they truly can be found — in God alone. Even as believers in Him, we as Christians often have a warped view of God, seeing Him as somewhat stingy, carefully doling out His blessings — a little here and a little there. Yet the apostle Paul wrote, "He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" (Romans 8:32).

In essence, Paul is asking us this question, "Isn't it absurd to think that if God gave us the very life of His Son, that there is anything He would willingly withhold from us? After all, He has already given us the very best!"

Hey, can I hear you say Amen loudly? -smile-

Unlimiting God

Have you read this book?

Oohh.. I loved it!

This book has inspired me to grow in my spiritual life, and not to be satisfy with my faith journey with God, and also develop a good relationship with my family.

As a pastor's daughter I used to develop a 'pastor's daughter's behavior' and I hated it! I thought that it was very boring to live such a spiritual way of life. How can ones walk with God in that way of living? Aarghh.. and I hated my life, my circumstance, my responsibility, and all about my life when I was a teenager. But Richard Blackaby through this book showed me that life can also be fun when you develop a deeper relationship with God and become a 'spiritual person'. You can feel this way while you enjoy your life with the ones you love. (Oh, I've never heard about this before! I always thought that a spiritual family supposed to be calm, serious and so 'spiritual' so one can see God through your life!). I don't know who was guilty: the doctrine I got, or my way of thinking. But yeah, it's not a big deal now. We can create and share joy in our family if we want to, and no matters how spiritual you are, you still be able to enjoy your life!

Oh you know what, it was a great joy to know this truth (yeah, the truth has set me free!). I've learned that life is a choice. We can choose to be joyful or to be burdened. But, as long as we walk with God, unlimiting Him to work through and within us, we'll see the greatness of His glory!

Mr. Blackaby also shared about his lovable, funny and silly experiences with his family in his book (something I always feel embarrassed to do), so it's as if you can see your real self through this book.

And.. I became understand that if I gave up my life to Jesus, I'll never miss out a great adventure of faith in life. And I won't. I know I can plan many wonderful things but I can go wrong, while Him, He can exactly make the best choice in the first time He did, so I can trust my whole life to Him. Let Him decides what the good, fit and best for me. Thank God I know Him!

In case you want to develop a deeper relationship with God, I highly recommend this book..
