We don't want to be benchwarmers. We don't want a life on the sidelines. I don't mind losing, and I don't have to be the star, but I want to be in the game. This desire is a wonderful thing. Our hunger for significance is an indicator of who we are and why we were created. Deeper than our need for food or air or water is our need for meaning, our need to know our lives count for something. That need can get distorted by our egos. It can get sidetracked into narcissism or egotism. But we are built for meaning the way Porsches are built for speed.
I always love the story about Elijah. This is the part I love most about his inspiring life.
Let's read it..
"You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there" (1 Kings 17:4).
The prophet Elijah pronounced a drought upon the land because of the sin of Ahab and the nation of Israel. There was only one problem. Elijah had to live in the same land as Ahab.
"Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, 'As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.' Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah: 'Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there'" (1 Kings 17:1-4).
God provided for Elijah in a supernatural way. The ravens brought bread in the morning and meat in the evening. His water came from the brook.
God often uses money to confirm direction for our lives. Many times God uses a lack of provision to move us into new directions. It is a catalyst to encourage new ideas and strategies. Many times a loss of job becomes the greatest blessing to our lives because it provides the catalyst to do things we simply would never do without taking the step to get out of our comfort zone.
Friend, if you are fully following the Lord in your life and seeking direction from Him and you have no un-confessed sin in your life, there is no way He will allow you to miss His provision for you. He has a thousand ways to get the provision you need at the time you need it. Provision follows obedience.
I always love Alicia Keys. Beside her song 'If I Ain't Got You', Unbreakable has been my most fave song. Love the way she encourages all the people to be unbreakable. We use to look at the celebs and suppose that they are very happy and fortune. But we often forget that we also have the strength and courage to pursuit our happiness within ourselves, whatever it means!:). We aren't different with all of them. So, don't just dream, live out your life to its fullest!

"They were left to test the Israelites to see whether they would obey the Lord's commands, which He had given their forefathers through Moses" (Judg. 3:4).
There is a spiritual truth God revealed in the conquest of the Promised Land recorded in Judges chapter 3: "These are the nations the LORD left to test all those Israelites who had not experienced any of the wars in Canaan" (Judge 3:1-3).
They didn't pass the test. "The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD; they forgot the LORD their God and served the Baals and the Asherahs" ( Judg 3:7-8).
Martin Luther said there are three things necessary to create a successful minister of God: prayer, meditation, and temptation. You'll really never know the strength and reality of your faith until you experience difficulty in life. You'll never know for sure whether God can be trusted or if you'll fall to temptation.
The apostle Peter thought his faith in Christ was solid until the temptation came to deny Him. Jesus knew Peter was not mature yet and that he would deny Jesus three times in one day. Peter didn't believe it. Sure enough, Peter denied Jesus three times. Peter could not believe he could do such a terrible thing. In order to discover this about himself, he needed to be placed in a situation to reveal his true condition.
God allows circumstances to develop around your life to give your faith opportunity to be proven. It is only when we are tested in battle that we become skilled warriors. You can be confident God will allow trials to come your way through situations like an unreasonable boss, a client who refuses to pay, a false assault on your character, or a difficult relationship that requires unconditional love. These battles are sent your way to test what you know in the mind in order that they might become part of your heart.
If you fail the test, do not be overly concerned. Learn from it and grow through the experience just as Peter did.
I've just watched the movie 'One Night with The King' and feel blessed. The movie was really showed me the hard circumstance that Queen Esther faced.
Just want to share with you my idea after watching this movie. Sometimes we have to make a big faith leap to reach up our destiny in Christ. Life will never give reward for anyone who just want to live their life easily, cause challenge is the thing we need to make our life more valuable.
I recommend this movie if you haven't decided yet what movie to watch this weekend..
It's been so long since I posted my last post. Long time also have never done my meme. So here I am, back with my Then Sings My Song My Soul Saturdays. My song for this week is God Is Able from Ron Kenolly, a pretty old song, but one of my fave songs. Hearing this song always reminds me that God is able to do anything in my life. I am weak, but He's strong.

2 days ago, when I was tired, a little bit mad and dissapointed by some disturbing things, a brown package came, addressed to me. I wasn't expected something better in my situation that time. But, my husband brought the package to me and.. tada! Guess what? My 1st book!
I was so surprise and happy. But I supposed my future sister in law was much happier than me! Yeah, this was such a blessing!
Don't know why the editor changed the title. The purpose Driven Teen? Hmm.. probably because The Purpose Driven Life's popularity was still high so they thought that the title will attract more teens to buy the book. Hopefully.. :)
Please pray for this book. I just hope that my book will always become a blessing for all teens to find themselves in Christ, especially in Indonesia.
I have no idea why this verse seems to follow me everywhere I go. Whether I read books or blogs, I can hardly believe how many times has this verse come through to me. Well, I can't understand what are in God's mind in directing my journey, but I just totally believe in Him. I know that He's preparing something beautiful and perfect for my life (though I may not seen it yet). Even, much better than my wildest imaginations!
I just want to learn to believe in Him in everything I face in my life. I know that His plan is not my plan. Mine would be fail some time, but His are immovable and forever. I know that I'm limited but He's strong and in Him, I'll get the strength and power and anything I need to empower me in walking through this journey.
I trust in You, Lord. Thank You for sending me this verse. Please, always remind me about Who You are. I'll just be still and waiting for You..
"Show me, O LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life" (Ps 39:4).
David accomplished a great deal in his lifetime. However, he also understood life had an end to it and he wanted to make the most of it. He learned to use his time wisely. And so should we.
Peter Drucker was a renown management consultant to major corporations and authored many bestselling business books. He suggested three activities that might help busy executives better manage their time.
"First, do not start with the task. Start with your time. Determine where your time is going. Then, attempt to manage that time and cut back unproductive demands on your time. Consolidate your 'discretionary' time into the largest possible continuing time units.
Drucker refers to the second step as time management. After listing the activities to which we devote our time, he suggests that we ask three questions about each of these activities to help us minimize the amount of time we waste: "What would happen if this were not done at all?" And if the answer is, 'Nothing would happen,' then obviously the conclusion is to stop doing it. Next, which of the activities on my time log could be done by somebody else just as well, if not better? What do I do that wastes my time without contributing to my effectiveness?*
Drucker closes by saying 'Know Thyself,' this old prescription for wisdom is impossibly difficult for mortal men. But everyone can follow the injunction 'Know Thy Time' if you want to, and be well on the road toward contribution and effectiveness."
Why not evaluate how you are spending your time and ask God how to better use your time.
I'm changing my template. Now it looks so fresh, beautiful and hmmm.. lovely! What do you say? :) Just confused about my old one. I always viewed it as 3 columns template, but when I opened my blog from my new notebook, I found it definitely was just 2 columns there. The third column (the right side one) was below the main side and, oh my.. it wasn't as beautiful as what I've always seen before.. Ough! The most surprising was when my friend told me that she always viewed my template like that one (Just 2 column like what I lately viewed). Oh, really? How could it be like that? Ough... Hope you like my new template as I do :).
